We are María Alejandra, a primary care physician graduated from the National University of Colombia, and Hernán, an industrial and systems engineer graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Living in beautiful Bogotá, Colombia, we've met wonderful people from around the world—tourists and expats alike—who face real challenges finding healthcare that feels familiar: clear communication in their language, understanding cultural nuances, and care tailored to life abroad.
That's why we combined our medical expertise, engineering mindset, and passion for clear communication to create DoctorsForExpats.com. Our goal? To make high-quality, accessible medical care simple for expats in Colombia—with multilingual professionals (Spanish, English, French, German, and more).
